On Friday, January 15th, 2016, the Visionary Team (Vision 3), Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) visited the 2F of the Co-Evolutional Social Systems Innovation Facility for the third time.

During this site visit, to mark the end of phase 1 which will be at the end of this year, each unit gave a report on their research development results. A presentation was also given on plans and the challenges of research development, and on demonstration tests for phase two onwards.

During the discussion after the reports, we received feedback saying, “We have great expectations toward urban OS. Keeping phase 1 in mind, we would need a concrete image of social implementation for phase 2 onwards. Please perform a simulation of social implementation and provide actual suggestions on social service functions.”

We were also highly acknowledged for how after two years since the start, each research unit and the satellite have been collaborating effectively based on the common topic of urban OS.

In phase 2, through social implementation, we will showcase the benefits of urban OS to many general citizens, with the goal to have them understand it better.
