As of Oct 1, 2017 Project Leader has been changed as follows.

Greeting from Mr. Yoichi Korehisa
As of Oct 1 the position has been taken over by Mr. Shinya Ishihara who is from NTT WEST CORPORATION.
The reason behind this is that we will have closer relationship with participating organizations in order to realize social implementation during the 2nd half of the project period.
Based on the Urban OS Platform issues of cities and local communities are solved taking advantage of the technologies related to energy, mobility and civic service. To accelerate this, we invited a young leader who is expected to accomplish what we are trying. From now I will mainly work on the business development of a new company which was created during this project. At the same time, I will remain in CESS so that I can support the new Project Leader.
As we will shift our effort to the social implementation activities I would like to ask your continuous
support to the project.

I have just taken over the project leader's position of CESS.
In collaboration with Dr. Wakayama, Research Leader, Dr. Yasuura, Research Advisor and the members of energy, mobility and civic services Mr. Yoichi Korehisa, former Project Leader,
has been successful to leave many good results such as; (1) Products from industry academia collaboration(e.g. Fuel Cells), (2) Energy management business (e.g. Establishment of Kasuga Blue Energy), (3)Government/Civic Services(Collaboration with local governments e.g. Miyama ) .
We are now on the half way of 9 year COI program and the 2nd half has just started.
The society evolves into the next stage as technologies solve social issues, then new issues will enable the technologies to evolve further. This mutual reaction enriches lives of people as an everlasting operation. This is the co-evolutional society we are trying to create as quickly as possible.
I would like to accelerate social implementation of the social platform (Urban OS). I expect your understanding and support.
