3 way Comprehensive Partnership Agreement among Fukuoka Prefecture, Kasuga city and Kyushu University.

The agreement on the cooperation for the reduction of greenhouse gas was signed on Oct 20, 2017. This is the first project in Japan in which local governments and a university have a collaboration to manage energy utilization in a local area to reduce greenhouse gas.

In the project PVs and batteries are used and public facilities in Kasuga city and Chikushi campus of Kyushu University are connected with private lines to form an area management system, which gives the optimum supply and demand management for energy.
Thus a model for a smart community is developed where the supply and demand of the electric power in the area can be optimally managed to effectively reduce greenhouse gas.

Kyushu University COI(CESS) has been conducting researches on "an area management system for renewable energy" and "a statistical method for electric power consumption" in collaboration with The University of Tokyo and Yokohama National University, so that the result of the researches can be implemented in the real society.
