Ideathon & hackathon 2017 for development of applications for traffic safety assistance.

Ideathon & hackathon 2017 for traffic safety assistance was held on August 26(Sat), 2017 at Fukuoka SRP Center Building.
The event was lead jointly by Ms. Sachiko Ohno, assistant professor of Institute of Innovation for Future Society, Nagoya University, Dr. shigeru Takano, associate professor of Center for Co-evolutional Social Systems, Kyushu University and Mr. Yoshikatsu Nishigama, research fellow of Center for Co-evolutional Social Systems, Kyushu University. The event was sponsored by Institute of Innovation for Future Society and CESS. Also it was co-sponsored by Institute of Systems, Information Technologies and Nanotechnologies (ISIT) and Big data Open data Initiative Kyushu(BODIK).
The purpose was to create ideas which will promote traffic safety of citizens such as data collection for traffic safety or efficient display methods of hazard information.

19 people participated in the event, which consists of three input seminars to provide topics and the ideathon to create ideas.

In the opening Dr. Takano gave a greeting and an explanation on the objectives of the event.
In the input seminar three topics were provided by Nagoya University and Kyushu university.

The first seminar was "Traffic Hazard Map" by Ms. Ohno,Nagoya University. She talked about the initiatives of the center and the mobility related technologies and systems.

The second seminar was "Urban Surveillance" by Dr. Takano,Kyushu University. He talked about technologies and systems for life support based on the Urban OS which has been developed by CESS.

The third seminar was "Which of the five senses information appeals to? sensory marketing perspective " by Mr. Nishigama. He talked about a method to provide information on the technologies and systems of the both centers to citizons based on 5 senses.

After a series of idea creation process the ideathon finally created 6 ideas for traffic safety.

In coming November a hackathon is planned in order to develop prototypes based on the ideas from the ideathon.
