Activity Report
We participated in the "3rd FRANCE-FUKUOKA(KYUSHU) ECONOMIC FORUM 2015" which was held at Kyosokan Conference room, (Denki Bldg., Fukuoka, Japan) on April 23rd (Thu.), 2015. This Forum was co-sponsored by French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (CCI France Japon) and Fukuoka Convention & Visitors Bureau to promote interactive business exchange between France and Fukuoka (Kyushu). The theme of this forum was “France-Japan collaboration potential for building Smart-City Fukuoka”, and representatives from four French companies, one Japanese company, French Embassy in Japan, and Kyushu University discussed their activities.
Dr. Hiroto Yasuura (EVP of Kyushu University), who is a Professor of Information Science and Electrical Engineering and also a research advisor for Co-Evolutional Social Systems, gave a presentation titled “Urban OS and Smart City”. In his speech, he expressed necessity of ICT (Information and Communication Technology)-based Smart City development, and suggested “Urban OS” can offer the optimized services to people e.g. citizens, foreign tourists etc... by utilizing various open data/big data information e.g. traffic, disaster, people mobility, crime etc..., which was collected through the rapid advancement of ICT technology. These systems also offer numerous business opportunities.
We will continue to participate in such forums and conferences, and promote Urban OS concept and gain public understanding.
