This Research Center is an operation facility which was approved as the recipient of the “The Science & Technology Promotion Facility Funding for the Collaboration among Local Industry, Academia and Government”. Our “International Science Innovation Center Plan” has chosen its theme to be, “the Realization of a Co-evolutional Social System which Supports Continuous Development of Diversity”.
International Science Innovation Center Plan
By establishing an “international innovation center”, a location where various fields cooperate to address innovative research development issues, we have planned to flexibly utilize local resources and create new industries and jobs with GIA (Government-Industry-Academia). All of this is taking place under one roof; through this joint cooperation, we aim to create a continuous flow of innovation and create new industries and jobs.
This center plan fuses the cutting-edge research done by Kyushu University, with the plan to make Fukuoka region an urban center of internationalization and depopulation studies in Asia. By cooperating together, it is our aim to realize a social system that co-evolves (coexist and evolve) with the diverse needs that may arise. We work together with leading edge research institutes and enterprises, both within Japan and globally, and equip this research development center for it to become a facility that actually realizes a comprehensive social system with mobility of people/things, energy and information.
