Joint research to avoid crowd with d POINTs has started

d POINTs are given depending on the congestion of shops. A joint research to avoid crowd has started.

ICT group of the center and NTT DoCoMo has started a joint research on Nov. 11, 2020, in which d POINTs given to the customers vary depending on the congestion of shops to prevent crowd.

Due to the spread of COVID-19 new life style is required to avoid close spaces and crowded places, many restaurants and retails have huge drops of the sale. Coexistence of the infection prevention and the economic activities is the problem. Through the joint research coexistence of infection prevention and economic activities is targeted.

Approximately 1,500 students of Kyushu University will receive messages through smart phones to avoid crowded period of time and they will get bonus d POINTs if they follow the advice.

Messages to avoid Three Cs are sent out based on the algorithm which uses data from the congestion sensor developed by Kyushu University and the mobile statistics of NTT DoCoMo to calculate congestion of the shops and the surrounding area.
